No Gays in Iran...

This is the best New Yorker cover I've seen in a while.

He made a statement recently where he wanted the part of his statement that said "...like you have here in America." to be the focal part of that statement. While I find much fault with this guy, this does make more sense, and I can understand exactly what he means.

Not like here in America, indeed:

Homosexuals in Iran are arrested and tortured. Since the ayatollahs took over in 79, it's estimated that over 4000 homosexuals have been executed. The sheer volume is sickening in itself, but what's most chilling to me is how, in less than thirty years, Iran went from an attitude of uneasy tolerance similar to like we have in America to flat out persecution.

But on the lighter side of things, I really got a chuckle out of the idea of Ahmadinejad being propositioned by a Larry Craig type in a restroom.

I agree...mostly. Of course I'm coming from it on a different perspective as some. No, there should not be executions or anything of the sort done to homosexuals. They have that right. But America rates them at or near the top of the victim list and grants them some rights that, in my opinion, only glorifies an unnatural act. I don't want this to sound like I'm a gay-basher. I have friends who are gay. I don't have to agree with their lifestyle though...
